Julie Githiri

On Episode 75 of The AfriCAN Do! Podcast, host Leonard Mudachi sits down with Julie Githiri, a Registered Psychodynamic Psychotherapist and Psychosexual Therapist whose work sits exactly where culture and intimacy collide.

Julie spent over twenty years as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Council, including in one of London's busiest sexual health departments. She completed her specialist training at Tavistock Relationships, and now works with adults on intimacy, attachment and the realities of modern relationships. British-born with Kenyan heritage, she brings a dual perspective to what it means to love across cultures: tradition alongside autonomy, family expectation alongside personal desire, collective identity alongside individual longing.
