The events business is a masterclass in African entrepreneurship. It is capital-intensive, with inventory that must be bought before it earns. It is seasonal, with feast-and-famine cycles that test cash flow discipline. It is fiercely competitive, with low barriers to entry but very high barriers to excellence. And it is unforgiving, because an event happens once; there are no second takes. Patricia shares how Party Lounges built systems, standards and a reputation that keep clients coming back and referring others.
